Koeman admits Barcelona clause has been affected by Euro 2020 delay

Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed that he would remain the head coach of the national team next summer after Euro 2020 was postponed. The Dutchman is understood to have mutually agreed to join the Blaugrana after the completion of Euro 2020 but he is now expected to continue with the national side after the continental competition was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.


Speaking to Marca, Koeman revealed that he has a clause to join the Blaugrana after the European Championship but that won’t get active until 2021, he told: “The clause in my contract to go to Barça is after the Euro Cup. No date has been mentioned, so now it is after the European Championship in 2021. But anyway, I haven’t thought about it for a second.”

Jenas says Jack Grealish must make the England squad for Euro 2020

Former Premier League ace Jermaine Jenas has said that it would be embarrassing, should Jack Grealish miss out on the England squad for Euro 2020. The 24-year-old has yet to make his debut for the Three Lions but he has made a strong case for a call-up next month after his consistent showing for Aston Villa in the top-flight.

Marcus Rashford says England’s frontline is frightening ahead of Euro 2020

England international Marcus Rashford has said that the Three Lions pose a genuine threat to their opponents with their frightening group of attackers. Gareth Southgate’s side recently qualified for the Euro 2020 finals with relative ease and during the qualifying phase, they managed to score a staggering 37 goals from just eight matches.


Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling have been alone responsible for 20 of those goals and Rashford predicts the Three Lions will have a successful tournament next summer, he told: “I think it is a good combination. But we have played games without that particular front three and it is frightening what we can do as a group of attackers.I think all of these games are just gearing you up for the summer and if we go into the summer anywhere near the sort of form we have been in recently then it will be a successful tournament.”

Southgate Intends to Stay Irrespective of Euro 2020 Results

Gareth Southgate has claimed that he has no intention of quitting the England job irrespective of the Euro 2020 performances. He has outlined his vision to stay in charge of the national team until the World Cup 2022 in Qatar. England were able to secure a place in the Euro 2020 after beating Montenegro 7-0. The team was also able to complete the qualification campaign in style after beating Kosovo with a 4-0 score. The former Middlesbrough manager says that things could change swiftly if the national team perform well in the finals. Irrespective of the Euro 2020 performance, so it plans to stay in charge until the World Cup concludes. It will be a different World Cup since it will be held in the winter to combat the extreme heat in Qatar. During the recent qualifiers, England were able to have more debuts to players like Fikayo Tomori.

Marco Silva says Everton should retain their defensive resolve from last season

Everton manager Marco Silva has said that the Toffees need to find the defensive resolve from the backend of the previous campaign. The Merseyside giants made a strong end to last season to finish eighth on the table and that was partly down to the defence which kept 13 clean sheets from the final 13 Premier League matches.

The Toffees begun the current season in the same fashion with successive shutouts but the floodgates have since opened with the club conceding seven goals from the past three league games.
